Wood, Brass, and Glass

Benson Branch
Public Library
Omaha, NE

This sculpture was completed as a Public Art Commission for the Benson Library.  Using the ladder as a metaphor to symbolize passing to another plane. The sculpture contains many computer icons as well as colored glass panels which represent knowledge.  The central feature, over the circulation desk, is a floating bookcase spilling "books" into the air.
